Book an appointment
Call our office at 403 238 1100 to book a facility tour and to select materials and edge style. Our design staff is on hand to answer questions and guide your selection.
Bring your references
If possible, bring samples of cabinets, flooring, and any other relevant materials. They help us recommend a stone that ties the room together.
Bring a layout
Bring a drawing showing project layout and measurements. Our Countertop Project Sketch form is available for this — a contractor or designer drawing also works.
Stove & sink specs
If applicable, bring stove specs (measurements and cabinet openings) and sink specs. We need these prior to templating.
Facility tour
A design staff member walks you through the showroom, working shop, and yard. Portions of the tour are outdoors — please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Small children must be carefully supervised.
Quote & sign-off
We generate a quote based on your selections. Once final, you sign the quote and our Terms and Conditions, which detail the rest of the process.
Material payment
Material payment is made before templating can begin.
Templating
After your kitchen and bathroom cabinets are fully installed, we template the countertops for an exact custom fit. For existing cabinets, templating can occur before the old countertop is removed — provided one row of backsplash tile is removed first. We highly encourage you to be present at templating so questions can be answered before material is cut.
No more changes
After templating, no further changes should be made to cabinets, gables, or support walls. This ensures the granite fits properly.
Sinks delivered
The templater picks up sinks at template and delivers them to the shop for accurate cutting. If sinks are not on site at template, they must be delivered to the shop no later than one week after templating.
Production
Your job goes into production. If you have a preference for a specific installation day, let us know — we will try to accommodate.
Final payment & install
Final payment is due before granite will be installed. Our installers then complete the work in your home.
Considerable effort, but never invisible.
Considerable effort is put into minimizing the visibility of seams; however, they are never invisible, and some granite reveals seams more than others. Seams are unavoidable in granite work — their placement depends on kitchen layout and size. Where possible, we eliminate them entirely.
